summer was just about to peak. the sun was full, yet soft. the roses blushing red and pink, with the wind pushing the petals around in circles. these colors make these pictures almost paint-like. i'll let you muse over the saturation for today's monday musings. traveling for the two weeks--will update as soon as i can. until then...

it's monday yet again. and it's....june? where has time gone? at least mondays come with monday musings...right? ;)

i've been looking through my photo collections and making note of ones i want to turn into blog posts. as i collect all of them, i realize how some of them are a wee bit fuzzy. i love this fuzziness though--it gives moments a realness (that a word?) to them and a better "behind-the-scenes" feel that i always strive to capture when i pick up my camera. pictures like these always take me back to when my adrenaline rushes when i know a moment is happening and i scramble to get my camera in focus.

here's an "outtake" but really, one of my favorites from an engagement session i did a month and a half ago. it's a real beauty.

here's to finding joys in mondays!

jumblings

if it weren't for a free monday, i don't think my body could handle such a packed month. it consisted of traveling to the south and back west, celebrating birthdays, attending weddings, enjoying ingrid michaelson's lovely yet sassy tunes from the second row at the lincoln theater, dealing with a flat tire, watching x-men until one in the morning, and making my way through dc. may has been a lil' crazy and has left me in need of much rest. lucky me, i get to share with you some tidbits from the small moments in between and the big ones.

on another note, it's officially been a full year since graduation--today in fact--which makes me nostalgic in more ways than one. without grace and prayer, i wouldn't be able to say that it's been well worth the fight. it's going to get harder i'm sure, yet, i'm confident that each year will be well worth the fight like this past year's.
